Some years ago I came across some images of Torquay Harbour taken in February 1890. I think I bought them on Ebay although I cannot remember when or how much, but knowing me it would not have been a lot of money!
I have had them in my collection, a portfolio case tucked in a cupboard but recently I thought it was time they had an airing.
This first image is taken from Waldon Hill looking South East towards the Harbour and Vaughan Parade. The image quality is extremely impressive for the late 1800's.
This Second one is taken looking at Waldon Hill and shows the early undeveloped sea front area.
