Dartmoor on a Sunny Day

Imagine a 747 is sitting on a conveyor belt as wide and as long as a runway. The conveyor belt is designed to exactly match the speed of the wheels, moving in the opposite direction.

Can the plane take off?

In April 2009 I had a visit to Culver House, Chudleigh, Devon. There was an open door so I went for a wander.

Some years ago I came across some images of Torquay Harbour taken in February 1890. I think I bought them on Ebay although I cannot remember when or how much, but knowing me it would not have been a lot of money!

This is a story that started with a casual photograph and ended so sadly.

I saw this beside the A338 close to the village of Breamore in Wiltshire in September 2014. Made me laugh.
