My grandfather was Denis Ivan Timms and was born at Littleworth which is a small village near Faringdon. Littleworth was in Berkshire until the 1974 boundary changes when it was transferred to Oxfordshire. His family moved when he was three to the village of Liddington near Swindon. He lived in Liddington until he met and married my grandmother Rose Ethel Gee in 1929.
They lived in in the left hand of these two cottages in what was then called Oxford Road (now called Stratton Road).
While there he opened and ran a fish and chip shop at the house.
At the back of the house was a full sized Tennis Court that my mum learnt to play tennis on.
The plot that the bungalow is now built on was part of the garden and in this image my Mum and Uncle are playing with their pet goat Jubilee in 1939
